Why do people read what you write?
It’s a simple question. But it’s one you should be ready to answer if you aim to keep your audience engaged.

One excellent piece of content is worth way more than a batch of mediocre pieces. In fact, if you’re only concerned about volume, you might not want to bother in the first place.
So think quality over quantity, and consider these three questions before you start typing.
Will this inspire? If you’re a mission-focused organization, people likely follow you because they believe in the issues that you care most about. Yet saying you care about something is different than showing it. Dig for the stories that make people feel, and inspire them to take action.
Will this help solve a problem? Problem-solving is the lifeblood of good thought leadership content. Offer a fresh perspective on how your readers can work smarter, make a bigger difference, or find a better fix. If you do, you’re well on your way to building a loyal following.
Will this spark curiosity? Having good material to work with is a big part of the battle. But in a world awash with content, it helps to have a good hook. Take time to find creative way to catch people’s interest – and keep it. Opening a piece with a thought-provoking question can offer a good start.
