CASE STUDY
Stamford Health
Hope in Motion Walk
Stamford Health brings together supporters each June for the Hope in Motion Walk — a peer-to-peer fundraising event that supports patients undergoing treatment at the Bennett Cancer Center.
But peer-to-peer events have faced significant changes over the past five years, as the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath has transformed the way people think about taking part in in-person events — and ever-evolving social media habits routinely shake up fundraising tactics.
Turn Two has served as Stamford’s partner throughout these changes, working closely with its team to stay ahead of the curve.
Our Approach
Each year, we leverage our understanding of peer-to-peer fundraising, crisis communications expertise, and digital marketing to create a custom campaign theme, develop fresh social media strategies, and suggest new tactics for improving the event experience for participants.
Our 2024 strategy includes:
Developing a social-media toolkit to help participants raise money for and raise awareness about the event.
Launching a new “Mile of Hope” event experience that honors the memories of those who have lost their lives to cancer and celebrates cancer survivors.
Creating a new impact statement that combines patient and participant stories with facts and data about how the walk is improving outcomes for cancer patients.
